Peak Season Weeks

When to Come

Chamonix ski season runs mid-December to mid-April. Different weeks offer different combinations of snow quality, availability, and price.

Most Sought-After
Christmas & New Year
21 Dec – 4 Jan

The most celebrated weeks of the season. Book 12–18 months ahead. Highest prices, incredible atmosphere, festive chalet service.

Peak Powder
February Half-Term
Mid-Feb (UK school hols)

Busiest week of the year. Chalets sell out before January the year prior. January powder statistics peak. Book immediately if interested.

Best Value Peak
January Powder Weeks
5 Jan – 13 Feb

Often the best conditions of the year — without Christmas or half-term pricing. Our most recommended weeks for serious skiers.

Spring Skiing
March & April
Mid-Mar – mid-Apr

Long sunny days, firm morning snow, quieter pistes. Often 20–30% cheaper than January. Excellent for north-facing Les Grands Montets.

Early Season
December (pre-Christmas)
1–20 Dec

Variable snow but excellent chalet availability and pricing. Some lifts may not yet be open. Good for those flexible on skiing conditions.

Shoulder
Easter (variable)
Varies by year

When Easter falls in late March/early April, it's a popular peak week. Spring snow can be excellent — check dates each year.
